Lover's
Waltz~
Morning light is breaking,
Ice crystal windowpanes.
Music is in the air,
Down a country lane.
What's this I see before me?
Such beauty to behold.
Shadows in the distance,
Two lovers' arms enfold.

Swaying to the music,
Their lover's waltz began.
I stood in silent wonder,
Caught up in the dance.
Effortless their movements.
No sounds did they make.
Two as one they danced,
Their lover's waltz displayed.

Suddenly I saw them,
Black-tipped wings stretched high.
Bowing in the water,
As if to say goodbye.
Such romantic notions
These feathered friends portrayed.
How elegant the Snow Geese.
Rising high, they flew away.
