~ His Loving Hand ~

Above us, in the azure sky,
God holds His hands out wide,
He keeps them there, both day and night
So He can constantly abide.

His hands held wide
His Hands held close
His Hands held spread out in the sky,
He holds them there,
He keeps them there
So nothing ever slips Him by.


His eyes run to and fro,
Keeping watch for every foe,
His watchful gaze upon us,
Wherever we may go.


His eyes see wide,
His eyes see close
His eyes scan everywhere,
Keeping watch by night
awake in eternal light
Delighting in our care.


Nothing touches us, He doesn't know,
Every grain of shifting sand,
Goes into the knowing heart of God
Through the fingers of His loving Hand.
