~ MASKS
~
We each
have a
bag of
masks
And one
we often
wear
It keeps
our
feelings
cleverly
hidden
So no
one is
aware.
A mask
for love
will
protect
you
So your
heart
will
stay
intact
Don't
want it
to get
broken
in two
When the
opposite
sex, you
do
attract.
A mask
of
friendship
you don
on next
So you
can
listen
to their
lies
They
kiss
your
cheek
then
slap the
other
It hurts
you deep
inside.
Your
mask of
praise
and
adoration
Will
help you
with
words
meant to
deceive
Wounds
inflicted
are hard
to heal
Their
objective,
they did
achieve.
No mask
is
needed
for the
hurt
Which is
given to
us each
day
What
kind of
mask are
you
wearing?
Will it
betray
the
words
you say?
