~ Mirrors Don’t Lie ~
This morning as I looked
into my mirror
I thought, "Who can this
person be?"
There was an old lady
there
Staring back at me.
"Where did she come from",
I ask myself
"Lines and wrinkles on her
face
Oh my, who is this
standing in my place
How can this scene
I
erase?"
Then I realized, It was me
It was very plain to see
I ask myself over again
"How can this be?"
This picture I certainly
didn’t like
But I know, mirrors don’t
lie
So I guess the only thing
that's left to do
Is just to have myself a
good cry.
The years to us aren't
kind
To our appearance, causing
all these lines
But this I know, I must
accept
We all grow old with time.
