A New Leaf ~
I went to the Throne with a quivering soul
Knowing the old me was almost done
Dear Father, have you a new leaf for me
I have spoiled this one.
Taking my old leaf that was stained and blotted
God gave me a new clean one unspotted
And He looked into my sad eyes and smiled
Saying, go and do better now, my child.
I have so much to thank God for as I pray
A new clean leaf He has handed to me
He forgave my sins and set me free
To walk by His side each day.
