Not
My Will, But Thy Will Be Done
As I sit quietly in my chair
I listen for Jesus to come
I have much suffering and pain
Dear Jesus protect me as I pray
Not my will, but thine be done
I am praying for those I love
Who are in Heaven above
I look for a sign that all is well
With those I love
Let them be happy as I pray
Not my will, but thine be done
Sometimes I feel the nails in Your palms
And see the thorns on Your brow
Your cleansing blood has touched my face
When I need your help
It is You that I embrace
Could I have carried your cross
When you were too weak
The tears in Your eyes were for me
Your heart I long to seek
I believe I am the way
You wish for me to be
For a plan You have begun
None of this is my will
But thy will be done
I feel blessed by the Holy Spirit
As we now go into Lent
Whatever You decide
You are The Lord for me
From Heaven You will descend
