~ Path of Destiny ~

The journey started a long time ago
When I walked the first steps to be made
On this pilgrimage, to where, I did not know
They were the first small steps of faith

Having to choose which path to take
I looked around to those who could guide me
From when grandmother taught me God's way
That with Him to guide, the path could be easy

But, young, as well as rebellious, I strayed
On paths much harder, filling me with fear
Yet, grandmother's words were never far away
Her faith, kept the chosen path near

The older I got, the call became clear
And closer, as I met more of His true creatures
Helping to chase away all of the fear
So I could finally recognize the Lord's features

The path of destiny has brought me here
To where I met the one I fell in love with
To guide me, helping to make the way clear
So together we can be in heaven's bliss

All paths you take are of your choosing
But, if you remember the words of your elders
Then the path taken, will not be one of loss
For as with me, it brings love that lasts forever
