~ Pioneers ~
A long time ago pioneers passed this way,
They worked hard to blaze trails in their day,
Then slowly traveled on with great pride,
Praying for God to be their guide.
There were many great moving bands
Holding the reins with calloused hands,
In crude covered wagons that creaked along,
Praying to God to keep them strong.
Crossing the flowing rivers so swift and cold,
Through the hot desert they traveled so bold.
Over mountain passes they trod,
Ending up farming on hard virgin sod.
They all had a dream of doing their best,
Wondering if the future would pass the test.
Our ancestors' souls are now at rest,
They trusted God, and did their best.
