~ Pondering The Reason ~

Lord Jesus I've been pondering again
On all Your wondrous grace
What it truly means to grasp
Our heavenly place

Now within Your heart
Accepted and beloved
As I gaze into the darkness
And see Your light above

My soul can find a peace
I can never understand
But I will just accept
The loving from Your hand

How can I know that yearning love
Of Your life to be within
Our longing hearts below
That You died for our sin

So we might know the touch
Of the tenderness of You
As you lead us through life's trials
To find Your love is true

At Christmas time as always
Our hearts yet overflow
To want to say thank you
For making us Your very own.

Dear God, Help me believe this Christmas.
That when I'm in pain, you care about me,
and are orchestrating
every trial for a loving reason.
That you hold me in your arms
 to keep me safe,
That you are feeling the grief with me,
That you love me
and I am important to you.
I want to know Your presence -
let me feel your enveloping love.
Heal my hurting soul. Thank you for peace of heart this Christmas day.
