~ Quiet Meditations ~

Tonight I closed the door,
and left my pain behind.
I closed my eyes and traveled
to a place that has no time.

I freed my soul to fly,
where sorrow is no more;
I danced upon the sands
of a moonlit ocean shore.

I listened to the sounds
of the night birds lullaby.
I searched within my heart
for my everlasting light.

I wandered in the valleys,
where peaceful waters flow.
I climbed upon the mountains,
frosted white with snow.

And while I drifted quietly,
upon the peaceful night,
I searched within the solitude
and found everlasting light.

The light which lives within,
that’s embedded in our souls,
light that comes from Heaven,
and leads us back to home.

With peace now my companion
I returned to find the day;
I walked into the sunlight,
I now had found my way.
