~ The Rapture ~
Oh, how I long to be a part
Of that Rapture in the sky!
To sit at our Savior's feet
He, on His throne on high.
To be gathered up together,
Each a part of His own bride.
To dance and sing and serve Him,
Together...side by side.
Oh, what a wondrous day
That day will surely be;
When, in rapture in the sky,
Our Savior's face we'll see!
When we stand before Him
And together we cast down,
At His precious, nail scarred feet,
Our jeweled and golden crowns!
And when I sit at His feet
A thousand years or two,
Together, hand in hand, we'll praise Him
And serve Him...me and you.
Beloved, I know you're ready
And are waiting anxiously,
For the Rapture Day that cometh soon
When His face we'll see!
So, when that day comes along
And we're gathered up together,
We'll live side by side, sanctified,
Serving Him forever!!
