Can my soul survive much more
While searching for a perfect peace,
Can I find one that can rescue
To be my sure defense.
Nowhere else is near to comfort,
None can still my aching heart,
So my soul must turn to God for all,
For He will ne'er depart.
I can pour out every pain before Him,
To be the refuge that I seek,
I long to rest within His favor,
His blessing, is my need.
My soul cries for the love of God,
I thirst for help in this parched land,
I want to see His power and glory,
So in His strength I stand.
His kindness flows down to me,
So my lips burst forth in song,
He made me and He bought me
To Him my life belongs
I call out in the dark of night,
Hide me safe beneath Your wings,
Then He reaches near to hold me,
I am kept now, by the King of Kings.

Soft Whispers from
Hear my cry, O God; listen to my
prayer.
From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I, For You have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe. I long to dwell in Your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.
My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him.
