~ The Side Of The Mountain ~

I want to walk up the side of the mountain
I want to breathe the fresh, clean air
I want to look back over my shoulder
And silently say a prayer.

I want to see the tops of the trees
I want to be close to the birds that soar
I want to be surrounded by all the clouds
And not want for anything more.

I want to walk up the side of the mountain
I want to conquer all my fears
I want to be brave and to be strong
Leave my mark and say I was here.

I want to be remembered
For the good deeds that I've done
I want to enjoy everything
I want my life to be filled with fun.

I want to walk up the side of the mountain
I want to experience something new
I want to bask in the beautiful sunlight
And look at the spectacular view.

I want my soul to be refreshed
I want to feel it in my veins
I want to feel human once again
I want my muscles to ache from strain.

I want to walk up the side of the mountain
I no longer want to hide
I want to be closer to our God
I want him to be my guide.
