~ Snap Shots of the Blue Bird ~

She opens up her little eyes
Each day at the break of dawn
Then she fluffs her wings to fly
Singing her Bluebird song

She's thankful for each seed
Rejoices when picking the meat
Giving thanks to God above
And with joy begins to eat

She carries seed to the Chicks
Still swaddled in the nest
They also chirp a song of Praise
For God has given His best

Compared to other birdies
Her chicks are very plain
Under her wings she holds them
Protecting from wind and rain

The twigs, the leaves and branches
Make their perfect nest
Though not a very fancy one
To her, it's the very best

Her song is always cheerful
Sounds of beauty when she sings
All the world is her stage
As from a branch she swings

She has no need to worry
She trusts the Lord for all
And thanks Him for his love
Through Him, she's strong, yet small

She knows that God is watching
As she sings her song of love
And flaps her tiny wings in praise
To the Father up above

She wants to please the Master
And she sings 'Lord I love Thee'
For all your care and blessings
And how you watch o'er me
