The candelabras glowing brightly
The new snow falling to the ground
The Christmas tree with all it's beauty
Children laughing, oh what a joyful sound.
The stockings hung on the fireplace
Cookies and milk left for Santa Claus
The children all snuggled in their beds
I stop and take the time to just pause.
I drink in the wonder of it all, friend
I remember what Christmas day is about
It is not about just giving presents to all
It is about the birth of a very special one.
We will all celebrate Jesus' birthday
On the day of December twenty-fifth
But I wonder if anyone will remember
To give him his one desire and wish.
And that gift my friend is so simple
Jesus does not ask for a whole lot
He just wants us to Love him truly
Because for our freedom, his life he lost.
