As your heart opens up
To the one of your dreams
All the hurt that was there
Somehow lessens it seems

And you feel something nice
Running all through your veins
Like a flower just cleansed
By some heavenly rains

So you step away from
All the fears that you've known
Trusting deep in your soul
That you don't step alone

For your heart has reached out
To the love that you've found
Yet you wonder inside
Will it come crashing down

Could this be one more hurt
Can you chance being used
As you take one more step
It's a step so confused
