~ Summer Is Gone ~

 The summer greens are fading
Into the Autumn's reds and gold
Soon the warmth of the weather
Will change into a bitter cold.

It will be time for a cup of hot chocolate
In front of the fire warmed hearth
We will snuggle under our blankets
With one who has captured our heart.

The grass that was lush and green
Has now turned to an Autumn brown
Soon the ground will be all covered
In the fresh snow that gently falls down.

Yes friend the Summer is now over
And the Autumn has taken it's place
And soon old man winter will take over
With oh such blustery winds, yet grace.
