~ As Sunset Falls ~

As light fades with evening's dawn
All that was needed is already done.
Time to be together, to share the night
Talk of our love and how it is right.

Open passion's gates, feeling the heat
Sharing each other's secrets, we keep.
Learning of mistakes, never to do again
Showing our feelings, making them plain.

A time when we do not need to speak
Just each other's comfort, we seek.
Talk through the night of little things
Of what we want the future to bring.

As sunset falls, it is the time for us
For a lover's talk or just for lust.
Time we start our own new beginnings
Of our life together that has no ending.
