~ Thanksgiving Splendor ~

As we sit down at our tables
With friends, and family that surround
We are reminded of the blessings
God's grace gives to us, unbound

Reminders that we all are His
With each smile we glance on
Reminders of the love of others
We happen to fall upon

As Thanksgiving Day comes closer
We find ourselves remembering others
Thinking of those less fortunate than we
So we must share all with our brothers

God said " I was hungry, and you fed me"
Do unto others as they do unto you
Have you ever needed someone,
To share what they have with you?

So on this blessed day that approaches
Give to someone else in need
After all, God gives His blessings
To each one who sows this seed

Invite a stranger in for dinner
A warm home, and friends to care
God smiles upon you, if you do this
Leave no one lonely, if you dare

So as we sit down at our tables
With friends, and family that surround
Give thanks for all we have
Give thanks for God's grace, unbound
