~Time Changes Things # 14 ~

At Shady Pines I have arrived
Nurses all fussing over me
Telling me how I'll love this place
Said, you'll enjoy it, wait and see

I have a pretty little room
Furnished so clever and bright
Nice soft pillows on my bed
Help me to sleep all night

I met some other folks
That were the same age as I
But they seemed a bit confused
Most of them really shy

Just think how easy
This living's going to be
I almost squeal with delight
Every one's attention on me

O' This is gonna be alright
Sit in my chair as long as I please
With work all around me
But I can take my ease

Hey! This ageing thing
Is not really all bad
I just complained too soon
It's the best life, I've ever had

I can eat in bed if I desire
If I don't want my lunch
I'll eat a candy bar
And just lie in bed and munch

I can't walk but they push me around
In the building or out on the ground
I can even choose which it will be
This kind of living's spoiling me!
