Walk with me, see what I see
Take my hand, understand who I am and why
Look in the mirror, touch my soul with yours
Talk to me, I am a caterpillar struggling to become a butterfly

Walk with me, let us look at the bright sun
I do not want to feel that the world has come to an end
Will you be my one true friend
People do not see a butterfly, when I fly into the sky
I want you to come with me, hold me close
Let your blue eyes take in the beauty
Of flowers and rainbows, I do not want to be alone

Walk with me, have the hope I have
If I kiss your lips, I will be in heaven
I give you my whole heart, I know you care
For I have been with you everywhere

Walk with me, you are my strength
Without you I am weak
We are one, man and woman
When I smile, the love inside me becomes all that is true
You are pure, good, you are my happiness
I am safe when I walk with you

When we come to the edge of the light we know,
and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown,
of this we can be sure:
either God will provide something solid to stand on or
we will be taught to fly.
