~ Watch Over My Friend ~ God please watch over my friend today She feels so alone since he went away She doesn't think she can go on She doesn't even want to face the dawn. I can't seem to make her understand I'm here for her, I'll give her a hand My shoulder she can lean on, my ear I'll lend I told her I will always be her friend. God please watch over my friend today I want to see her happy and gay I don't want to see her sad anymore I want to see her spirit soar. She always had a smile on her face But now this frown has taken its place It's really upsetting to see her so blue Please help her to find out what she must do. God please watch over my friend today Tell her the sky will not always be gray Tell I'm here if she ever needs me With your help we can make her see.
