~ Why Do We Cry ~

Why do we cry when we're upset
Why do we cry at all
What makes our eyes all well up
What makes a teardrop fall.

Why do we sob when a loved one dies
When they're going to heaven above
We should be happy in our heart
Knowing the Lord is showering them with love.

Why do we weep when relationships end
When we know it won't be our last
Someone else comes along to take their place
And we quickly forget the past.

Why do we silently cry to ourselves
When someone hurts us and our feelings
It could be a friend, a stranger or loved one
But it seems to send us reeling.

So why do we shed a thousand tears
Whenever we feel so sad
There's so much we should be thankful for
We should be happy with what we have.

So dry up your tears and put a smile on your face
Don't let these things upset you
I'm sure if you just took a look around
You'd agree with me and know it's true.
