~ Why We Celebrate ~

What a wonderful time of the year
We celebrate the birth of our King
We will welcome in a brand New Year
And of his glory and love we will sing.

We will join our loved ones and friends
Opening gifts and spreading much joy
As we celebrate the special birthday
Of Mary's very special little baby boy.

He was crucified upon the rugged cross
He was buried and he arose once again
To sit at the right hand of his Father, God
To save us from our own sorrows and sins.

Yes lest we forget what the season is about
It's not about presents or how much we can spend
It is not about sweet potatoes or pumpkin pie
It is all about the son that God did to us send.
