My world would be so very bleak
If you never stopped to speak
With a stranger you never knew

My nights would be dreams lost
As I would never pay the cost
Of love wanting and feeling
In a world without your being

Days would be lonely and drab
If we could never stop to gab
Just going through the motions
In a world without your loving

My life is so alive now
