~ One Nation Under God ~
In the weeks ahead,
we will read many articles
sharing the hopes, fears and prayers of Americans.
As a people of this country we hold the banner high.
I boldly state that I am
Proud to be an American,
and proud of our young men and women heading in to war.
America has pulled together putting aside all differences
to do that which needs to be done.
Churches, doctors, nurses, firemen, volunteers,
relief and rescue workers, television crews,
newspapers, radio, internet web-sites,
each doing their part to help keep us informed.
There was and is a tremendous job ahead,
yet I have no doubt that it can and will be accomplished
because of the love and determination
of a people once again
"One Nation Under God."
Prayers have gone up all over the world,
and I know that God has heard and is answering prayers.
There is comfort in knowing that even in
all the things that have happened
in the past weeks and months,
nothing can separate us from the Love of God.
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither
death, nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers,
nor things present,
not things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us
from the love of God
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
On our knees our hearts broken,
we did seek the Lord and now
commit to walk with Him in all humility.
Giving glory and honor to Him,
for He alone is worthy.
Psalm 52:17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise.
The wounds inflicted on America will heal in time.
Lessons learned, we will never forget.
That which Satan intended for evil
God is turning for good.
As our national leaders,
young men and women head into war,
we at home hold you in prayer,
trusting in God's promises.
Just as the days of the Jericho March,
we will shout, and the walls must come down!
God Bless America, God Bless our military men and women.
