~ A Blessing Be ~

May I a blessing always be,
For those around me daily.
A fine example might I set,
For those who don't know Jesus yet.

Let me always bow my head,
Before one unkind word be said.
Let me take my enemies to prayer,
Before I let my temper flair.

Let me help guide the way,
By things I do and things I say.
Let every single thing I do,
Help to guide someone else to you.

Let me learn, live and grow,
Closer to you by the things I sow.
Let my mistakes not go unseen,
But by your blood I be washed clean.

Just because a Christian, I might be,
Doesn't mean my life is now sin free.
But that is why I kneel and pray,
To ask forgiveness at the close of day.

Don't judge me if you see me sin,
Remember I'm not perfect my friend.
The only difference in you and me,
Is, for my sins, I pray constantly.

And you my friend can do the same,
Just call upon His holy name.
He's waiting in the shadows for you,
He'll forgive you if you ask Him to.

And then your walk with Him each day,
Will be the torch that lights your way.
And you my friend, will always be,
A blessing for those around you constantly.
