A Day For Heroes ~
September eleven, is our
day for heroes
As we remember how they gave their life
So we can live in freedom
All just ordinary people
Who went to work, as you and I
Together, different color, race
All as proud Americans
Doing every day jobs
Loving, living, giving
Where the voice of freedom reigns
A day for hero's ever true
In those twin towers, four lost planes
Fighting for our freedom,
In God's name
Against those who planned for gain
You loved your country, each and every one
And are remembered in our hearts
We loved you all
While you did not know
You had done more than could be asked
We felt your pain, and heard you call
For all the people, one and all
Terror hit that black Tuesday
You were the innocent, the brave and strong
Now safe in love, where you belong.
