After The Tsunami ~
Shall the sea now be calm
With The Spirit of God
hovering yet upon the
waters,
Though a darkness is still
felt
Is something more powerful
to be purposed.
What is this love far
greater than man
Sweeping wide through this
land,
Rising up from the floods,
in the destruction
That none understands.
We stand in awe as we
watch untold hearts
Pouring out from within,
A care and a compassion,
to give
Like the world has never
seen.
The light of sacrificial
souls
The wonder of those kept
safe in their way,
Stories of miraculous
rescues
How some were led on that
day.
Angels swept down with
their care
Placed in God's perfect
will,
To reach out with a gentle
touch
For those who are meant to
live on.
How could that man lift
the roof off a trapped
Gran
Why did another turn back
and see
A child caught in a swirl
And restore her to
anguished family.
The mother who raced into
the waves
Screaming for her boys to
be safe,
To all find each other
hours later
Miracles, none can
explain.
While countless others
shall never be recovered,
Their secrets locked to
never be found,
Loved ones screaming in
such pain
Oh dear God, You know the
depths
Every last crying sound.
You alone hold the
mysterious keys
To unlock all we will
never know,
We can but kneel as a
humbled people
As You lovingly build Your
eternal kingdom
Overflowing with Your own.

Even though I walk through
the valley of the shadow
of death,
Or through the darkest
valley
I will fear no evil, for
you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
My comfort in my suffering
is this: Your promise
preserves my life.
Psalm 119:50
For just as the sufferings
of Christ flow over into
our lives,
so also through Christ our
comfort overflows.
2 Corinthians 1:5
