The Alabaster Jar
(The Anti- DiVinci Code)

She entered into Simon's house
Hoping no one would see.
In her arms she held a jar
That she carried so tenderly.

As she bowed at Jesus' feet
She heard Simon's voice cry out,
"Master, do you know who this woman is,
And what she's all about?"

So much love and compassion
Were seen in Jesus' eyes.
Then He looked at Simon
And answered his urgent cries.

"This woman came to anoint me,
Something YOU have failed to do.
She's come with a repentant heart;
Now she's FORGIVEN, just like YOU!"

I wonder if Simon felt tears of shame
Running down his fallen face,
As Mary knelt at Jesus' feet
And had her sins erased.

There within her very hands
She held onto eternal love;
As she dried the feet
of the One she'd washed,
And was blessed by God above!

As Mary gave her precious oil,
And bent there on the floor,
She gave her life to love and serve
Her Savior and her Lord!

Have YOU given everything to Him?
ALL that you have to give?
Have YOU knelt at Jesus' feet
Asking Him your sins to forgive?

He doesn't care from whence you came,
Or what you used to do.
He only cares that you repent
To the One who died for you!

Mark 14:3-9 (KJV)

And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box ,and poured it on His head.

And there were some that had indignation within themselves and said, Why was this waste of ointment made?

For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

For ye have the poor with you always, and
whensoever ye will ye may do them good; but me ye have not always.

She hath done what she could; she is come
aforehand to anoint my body for burying.

Verily I say unto you, WHERESOEVER this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial to her.
