The world has closed its windows
The sun has said goodnight
Shadows have drawn their curtains
The day has closed its light
Lord, may we have the restful sleep
To rise upon another dawn
Grant to us Your joy and wisdom
The endurance to walk on
Press upon each heart that's bowed
That You hear our every prayer
Keep us in the keen awareness
That You are always there
Remind us You will ever watch
And are always holding on
That all we need do is believe
In Your loving, all along
Whisper to us of tomorrows
For if the past is on the cross
We needn't worry 'bout ourselves
All is going to be well
It's time to stop being gripped by
fear
for it's time to remember God's
gripping us.
