I risked it all, My life, my limb
To climb out on my own
I sought a friend, the tenderest
And sweetest ever known

I held my breath, I climbed alone
My hands were gripping tight
I knew e'er long, my search be o'er
There guided by pure light

I softly reached, I felt a touch
A whisper in the night
The softest wings there fluttered by
I rose and then took flight

We flew and flew, yes, you and I
I found you, oh so soon
God led me up among His stars
To find the heart of you

With you, I always feel like I have been
in His presence, in Him we found a friendship so
loving and giving that time nor miles
can ever separate. Heart to heart we go into
this world. God wanted this to be and surely one day
we will fly above the clouds and make
even more tender memories.
