Alone and self destructing
No one to comfort me
My world was all in pieces
As doubt plagued sanity

I never once imagined
That God would be so kind
And send a precious angel
To be a friend of mine

Nor little did I know then
When you held out your hand
My life would come together
The way that He had planned

But time and love works wonders
Now I have healed again
Because of you I now am
The me I've never been

Sometimes it's hard to picture
An angel as a friend
But that's part of the beauty
We'll never understand
