~ An Angel Gave Me Violets ~

An angel came down from Heaven
She had violets in her hand and gentle words to say
"Jesus has been watching you
He knows your need today
So he wants you to have these violets
He knows they are your favorite bloom
They smell so sweet, you can hold them in your hand
Just remember Jesus loves you and He always understands.

When you are lonely and you need some special care
I will be your messenger, because Jesus knows you're there
He wanted you to come to earth to find out what is good
To learn how to love even though it hurts,
Just as you know He would.

He feels all your suffering, He has suffered too
When He holds His hands out,
You can see where His blood was shed for you,
One day He will reward you with precious wings of gold
We will fly to Heaven together,
And you will know forever, how Jesus loves you so."
