Anthony's Prayer

I lift my voice onto You, Oh, Lord,
For my brother and my friend,
As he embarks upon life's journey,
For his country to defend!

Keep him always in Your presence
Lead him, guide him on his way.
Protect him with Your Angel Legion.
See him through, Oh Lord, I pray!

Give to him so much strength and courage,
As we give to him our love and pride.
He is here to love and serve You!
Father, stay close by his side!

May he know that we'll be waiting
Anxiously for his returning day .
But till then, I give to Thee, Lord,
This precious child, to go Your way!

Bring him back safely, soundly,
Infuse in him Your love and care.
Lord, hear this, my heart's petition,
My plea, my soul's most earnest prayer!

Exodus 23:20-22 (NIV)
See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared: Pay close attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him: he will not forgive your rebellion, since my name is in him. If you listen carefully to what he says, and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you!


Remember that, "All things work together for the good, for those who love the Lord."
