~ Anticipation ~
There is so much to
look forward to,
If we don't weaken
and stray.
Sometimes the waiting
is hard,
When all we can do
is pray.
Looking towards
a couple's wedding,
An anniversary,
a birthday.
Anticipation overwhelming,
excitement in the air,
Wonderful happenings,
coming our way.
There is one celebration
I am looking for.
When all the heavens open,
blessings outward pour.
As Christ, our King,
and precious Savior,
Arms out stretched,
receives us at the door.
