~ A Thankful Heart ~

God has given me a thankful heart
Filled with many beautiful things
Just thinking of His great love
Peace and happiness it brings.

Budding flowers, beautiful shade trees
A warm afternoon and a cool evening breeze
The lady bug, the lovely butterfly
White fluffy clouds moving across the sky.

Flowers that bloom and the honey bee
A Sunday lunch and afternoon tea
The sparkle of a bright shining star
And making a wish on it from afar.

The calming effect of a soft gentle rain
As it falls against the window pane
For all these things I can't complain
God's love for me will never change.

And now my spirits are flying high
For God's gifts truly gave my soul wings
And a thankful heart so light and free
All these things God has given to me.
