We keep in step, yes, you and I
just step by step, not asking why
nor in the need of great reply,
Close side by side
in walk sublime...
to gladly look for all we find.
Together only is to go, no dire need
to e'er arrive, and if we rest, to cry,
oh my, with little set, to say or do,
For a leafy lane,
a pretty view...
are joys enough, for me and you
As in the leaves we'd skip all day
until we'd had enough of play
and if one nice might pass us by
We'd still be there,
leaves in our hair..
for there our hearts would always stay

"I cannot endure to waste
anything as precious as autumn
sunshine by staying indoors. So
I spend almost all the
daylight hours in the open air."
~Nathaniel Hawthorne~
Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor,
summer an oil painting
and autumn a mosaic of them all.
~Stanley Horowitz~
Friends, in step
hearken to each leaf un-chained, a-flame
adrift...upon the wander
of a blissful autumn lane
~Blossoms~
