~ Autumn Rain ~
Rain, rain, go away
You're messing up my
autumn day.
I can't enjoy
nature's best
You've managed to
make me quite
depressed.
The ground is
soaked, the leaves
are wet
These rainy days I
want to forget.
The clear, crisp
autumn air is gone
I can't even enjoy
the morning dawn.
I wanted to see the
colored leaves
But the rain hasn't
given me a reprieve.
I'm stuck indoors,
watching it rain
Can you understand
why I complain.
Oh rain, rain go
away
Rain again some
other day.
There are times, I
enjoy seeing you
But you've made me
sad and blue.
Some animals haven't
ventured out yet
There's too much
rain, no need to get
wet.
Hidden from view,
some will remain
While it continues
to rain and rain.
No swirling of
leaves I have found
They're just lying
still on the ground.
No smell of burning
leaves in the air
Take the rain and go
elsewhere.
So here I sit, stuck
indoors
Catching up on all
my chores.
Wondering if I'll
ever see
Another autumn day,
completely rain
free.
