~ Autumn's Gathering ~
Autumn's wonder has begun
The sky is crystal clear
A chill has crept upon the earth
Those frosty dawns are near
Berries bloom in all their glory
The trees ablaze with gold
Leaves quivering in the gusty breeze
About to lose their hold
Ah, let's picnic while we can
Take flight upon a country road
Seek out the beauty of the woodlands
Where the little creatures go
Drink in the fields of fresh mown hay
God's blessing on the land
Rest beneath the shady elm
Enjoy the goodness from His Hand
Hearts awash with gratitude
For the beauty to behold
In the gathering of autumn's gifts
Let's celebrate this touch of gold
