~ Autumn's Jewel
Box ~
Gently, gently, lift the cover
And gaze into the land
Autumn's jewelry is aglow
To caress your open hand
Feel its beauty gripping
Softly, let it fall
As the zephyrs of the autumn
winds
Bring in the forest's call
Come absorb, grasp hold the
value
Of the goodness floating by
Prepare your heart for winter
Look now into the sky
The mighty earth is fading
Once more it needs to sleep
The moments are soon passing
Now is the time to reap
Gather up the treasure
Draw life as God's receipt
Autumn twinkles on the very
brink
Whispering all that is to keep

falling leaves
hide the path
so quietly
John Bailey
I prefer winter and fall, when
you feel
the bone structure of the
landscape
the loneliness of it—the dead
feeling of winter.
Something waits beneath it—the
whole story doesn't show.
Andrew Wyeth
Autumn is a season followed
immediately
by looking forward to spring.
Doug Larson
Believe-
It is only the farmer
who faithfully plants seeds in
the Spring,
who reaps a harvest in Autumn
B. C. Forbes
