How can you know when I am
lonesome
If my heart requires some
filling,
How do you know the right
time
Unless somehow you're
always willing.
I see you pausing in your
busy day
To listen overflowing with
care,
And open up your loving
heart
To softly whisper secret
prayers.
My name must flash before
you
As you feel such tugging
in your soul,
To know that I was hurting
Then pray that I'd be
whole.
When God brought me to you
I didn't go away without,
For you sought of the
Lord's comfort
To soothe all of my doubt.
You asked Him for more
courage
For the need of my aching
heart,
And in my coming to God
through you
He kept me on His path.
So, how do I find the
words
To thankyou for your
gentle nudge,
But to send you this
basket of roses
Wrapped in the warmest
hug.

Insomuch as any one
pushes you nearer to God,
he or she is your truest
