Prayer My Son ~
The Moment You
were born,
The instant
I beheld your
eyes gazing into mine,
enamored by your charm
I spoke to God
Thanking him
for this
blessing placed
on my arm
I prayed
that God would
guide me so that
I might direct
you in his ways,
that no matter
where you traveled,
He would be with you
the rest of your days,
I Wanted to be
able to
show you
God's tenderness,
His patience,
His gentleness,
How God
wants us to humble
ourselves
in his service.
Time has accelerated
and before long,
you had become man,
you no longer needed
me to hold your hand,
to soothe your brow,
you are able now
to stand on your own,
being made in the image of God
unique, one of a kind
how extremely precious you are,
by far my most blessed son
