Sitting in my chair
watching all the children play
I seemed to miss a little one
I got a bit dismayed

But only for a moment
then he was at my side
With his gift to me
With big eyes open wide

He held in his little hand
The most beautiful bouquet
This is for you mom
I picked them for you today

There in my hand I held
flowers from my prize flower bed
But my heart was so touched
Thank you darling, is all I said

I had a moment of 'OH MY'
As I viewed the foot prints
this darling had left behind
As he Picked each flower from it's vine

I looked at the pleasure in his eyes
My heart was filled with joy
This darling little one
My handsome little boy!
