As I sat and watched the morning sun arise
I enjoyed the prettiest of sights
And the thoughts I prayed with love
Filled me with sheer delight

A warm and joyous gratitude
Spread a secret smile across my face
As I pondered on the many wonders
Given me by purest grace

I remembered all the precious gifts
That you and I have shared
Each touch of gentle thoughtfulness
In all the ways you've cared

To make me appreciate the more
How friendship is a treasured find
And to cherish every moment
When someone is so kind

I thank God who chose to give me
Such a friend to share
All I can say from my heart is...
How glad I am you're there.
