~ Better Be Sure ~

Have you stopped to pray this day?
Did you see if God had a task for you to do,
Or did you run on in your careless way
Making the day all about you?

We are a reckless lot of folks
Seeking our gain, no Christian growth
But oh, how we will regret it one day
When Jesus has taken our breath away

Take a moment, and give it some thought
Just how much time you really have got.
A moment? An hour? A day? Or maybe a year?
But the day of reckoning will surely get here

So take advantage of the time you've got
Stay on your knees and pray a lot
Making your calling and election sure-
So your walk with Jesus safely endures!
