~ Camping ~


If you love peace and quiet
And the sounds that animals make
I suggest you try to go camping
Beside a beautiful lake.

I sit here this morning and sip my coffee
And listen to all the sounds
Such serenity and calmness comes over me
A renewal of my soul I've found.

The chaos and demands that living brings
Everyone needs a way to escape
I have found mine when we go camping
And we're next to a beautiful lake.

God has created such wondrous things
All you have to do is open your eyes
Since we started camping I've found this out
I now look and listen and sigh.

I can't explain what comes over me
All I know is I feel renewed once more
No ringing phones and no problems to be solved
I left it all at the door.

This serenity and quiet is what I need
To continue to deal with life's chores
I now feel I can conquer anything
Sometimes I even ask for more.

My soul feels complete when I'm out here
The closeness to God's creations are the key
It purges the negativity that seems to creep in
So I can become what he intended me to be.
