~ Can You Help Me? ~


Is there help out there for a troubled soul?
Can someone show me the way?
Can someone take me by the hand
And lead me to a better way?

Will someone come forth and nurture my soul?
Will you be able to take on this task?
Do you have the strength to help me out?
Of you, this is all that I ask.

My strength is used up and I'm so tired
There is no one I can lean on
No shoulder where I can rest my head
I dread the break of each new dawn.

I struggle to face every single day
I collapse into bed each night
My soul is crying out for help
It needs to see the good Lord's light.

But I think He has abandoned me
These burdens are too much to bear
Will you pray for me and my soul
I just need someone who will care.

Too many worries and too much stress
And too much pain to endure
I feel I'm at the end of my rope
Can you show me with a real cure?

I pray to the Lord every day
Please relieve me of all this stress
Why are these things happening to me?
You must know I'm in great distress.

Lead me down the righteous path
Take me by the hand
Help me to find the pathway ahead
The pathway to the Promised Land.

There my soul will be saved
I will know just how to cope
I won't feel so depressed and lost
I will be given hope.
