Chains No More
Once someone said, I was lost in bondage
Then came along, the King of all Kings
In His eyes I noticed, a calmness, a beauty
A pasture of green and now my heart sings
Chains no more holding me down in the rubble
The key has been found, now, unlocked I am
Chains no more holding, my heart and squeezing
All chains are gone and now, I believe
How locked up I was, all dirty and sinful
Then pureness stepped up, in the form of a man
Whispering to me softly, come to me, my child
I'll give to you peace, I'll do all that I can
Chains no more holding me, down in the rubble
The key has been found, now, unlocked I am
Chains no more binding, my heart and squeezing
All chains are gone and now I believe
What in this man was so, intensifying
Why did He come? Was it to rescue me?
With words from the Father, He laid the
foundation
Took sin to the cross, and now my eyes see
Unlock these chains God, take me to Heaven
I've now seen your light, keep me with you above
Please hold me close, grip me forever
And never abandon, this child that you love
