~ My Christmas Bear Hug For You ~
When we accept the soft gift at Christmas
Of each other's beary loving heart,
We place them tenderly up on display forever
For we can never part.
Held close within our memory
This unfading love is indelibly sketched,
Nothing gathers dust of all we have gleaned
However uniquely far-fetched.
Of every word that is shared day to day
Blessings, heavenly thoughts of art,
Nothing is spared, to hug beary close
As the collection changes our heart.
For this we truly know
Every cuddly treasure we receive and send,
Bends us where God wills us to go,
We ponder the gift of the heart of a friend
As we plump them up in our soul,
Not just to decorate
But to keep, where eternal love never ends.
